Since 1995, Precor has manufactured some of the best elliptical training and other exercise equipment available and the Precor EFX 5.37 Premium Series Elliptical Fitness Crosstrainer is no different. This particular elliptical crosstrainer is designed specifically with flexibility and personal success in mind. Some of the best features of the crosstrainer include its ability to adapt to the person using the equipment in two exercise modes including Total body or Lower Body.

With over 20 resistance levels and the ability to interchange with 15 preset exercise programs, including aerobic, heart rate, weight loss and custom settings, this crosstrainer covers every aspect of the workout. The convertible grip of the adaptable arms turn the swinging arms into stationary ones and it only takes a second or two to adjust. Additionally, the stride adjuster is easy to set, however it is best to set it only once or as needed to focus on other muscle groups. While the pedals of the trainer are set thee inches apart, it makes the exercise feel a bit more natural as opposed to pedals that are set further apart.

The display that comes on the Precore EFX 5.37 Premium Series Elliptical Fitness Crosstrainer is a nice addition that includes a counter for measuring calories burned and a heart rate monitor. The heart rate monitor shows not only the rate consistency, but it also show what the rate is at various times throughout the workout. The rest of the display adequately displays the exerciser’s progress, how far the exerciser has traveled, the elapsed time since starting the workout, the incline, and resistance, among others.

The only feature missing is a set upper body workout. While elliptical trainers such as this one completely workout the lower body, it does have a total body setting, so one would assume it should also have a setting to focus more n the upper body as well. The Precor EFX 5.37 Premium Series Elliptical Fitness Crosstrainer is overall a great trainer for the money spent with many features not found on others in its class.
