Sole e25 Elliptical Trainer Review

Although the Sole E25 elliptical is the entry level machine within the Sole family of ellipticals, it has more to offer thanImage most budget elliptical machines. While it doesn’t offer some of the extras that can be found on other machines, it does have some attractive features at a low price that makes it a good option for those who are just getting started in the world of exercise.

The Sole E25 elliptical comes equipped with nine different workouts. There are elliptical machines that offer more programs but honestly most people zero in on using one or two different programs and the "body count" of how many programs offered is used as a marketing point by elliptical trainers.

The machine includes 16 different levels of resistance, which means the resistance can be adjusted in order to take your workout to the next level.

The Sole E25 elliptical also features a manual incline adjustment option, which allows it to be adjusted to a 15 or 30 degree angle. By making a change to the incline, you can more effectively target certain muscles or you can increase the intensity of your cardio workout.

For being an entry-level elliptical, the Sole E25 elliptical has a longer stride than what you will typically find on competitors elliptical trainers. In fact, it comes with a 20 inch stride length. It should be noted, however, that this might still be a bit short for taller individuals.

In addition, this stride length may not be long enough to allow you to hit varying stride lengths in order to hit different muscle groups and to work them out in different ways. The Sole E25 offers some features that are designed specifically to help make your workout more comfortable. For example, the angle of the articulating foot pedals change with the motion of the elliptical in order to reduce the strain that is placed on your foot and ankles. Furthermore, the foot pedals can be adjusted in order to further increase your comfort level.

ImageLike other models, it includes a built-in fan as well as built-in speakers and a plug in for an MP3 player. It should be noted, however, that the sound quality isn’t the best. Therefore, if you are looking for a good sound system, you may need to purchase separate equipment or perhaps an elliptical with a better sound system. Ultimately, I'm thinnking you're going to be using your earphones and iPod like I do so the "sound system" is more of a gadget for marketing than anything.

In short, the Sole E25 is a very good value, but you need to keep in mind that you will not be getting anything special or extraordinary with this bottom-end model. When compared to other ellipticals within the same price range, however, the Sole E25 elliptical trainer does have some features that aren’t commonly found at this price level. Therefore, it is an excellent value for someone who is ready to start working out at home.
